Estimator – Project Manager

Job Details

Determines the condition of the vehicle by inspecting the vehicle before and after use, logging inspection, reporting requirements. Ensures correct loading of the vehicle by loading product or material, directing material handlers. Delivers product or material to destination, identifying destination, selecting the route and driving the vehicle. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufactures instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment supplies, evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintain safe vehicle and conditions and protects the load by complying with organization policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Maintains records by completing driver logs, obtaining shipper and receiver authorizations, filing documents. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Let It Grow Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced (5-10 years) Estimator/Project Manager. The position is responsible for managing landscape construction projects. We prefer candidates with a bachelors in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Industries or related field and knowledge of plant material.

Projects encompass small to large landscape projects for universities, healthcare, malls, office, retail, residential buildings, parks and open space. The scope of work includes trees, shrubs, mulch, seed/sod, irrigation systems, pavers, decorative concrete and other landscape related

  • Duties include, but not limited to:
    ​Solicit new business opportunities for the organization in order to meet sales objectives, prepare estimates and proposals for new work in a complete and professional manner, and assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of landscape projects.
  • ​Responsible for directing, and coordinating all matters related to job projects to support short and long term company goals.
  • ​Lead and participate with field personnel, staff, management, and job site management to ensure project quality, timely completion, and customer satisfaction. This includes planning for materials, labor, and subcontractor logistics to ensure consistency of construction project schedule.
  • ​Complete and thorough understanding of all contract requirements for each project, including change orders and billing.
  • ​Owns review process of all job costing including labor, materials, and subcontractor variance explanations
  • ​Ensure close out of jobs is completed in a timely fashion including retainage follow ups.
  • ​Ensure consolidated monthly billing estimates meet job work completed and meets forecasted project revenue targets.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years’ experience
  • Organized and able to manage time, work crews, and administrative compliance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects and ability to multi-task
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
  • Proficient in AutoCad
  • Follows workplace and vehicle safety procedures consistently

This position has room for growth to move into full fledge accounting/financial support of day to day operations. The Junior Accountant position is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with various detail-oriented accounting tasks such as, but not limited to: General Ledger, construction billing, A/R cash application, 8 week cash forecasts.  Other responsibilities include working with Project Managers to maintain costs for large construction projects and performing special duties as needed. PREFERRED JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management required.  We will train the individual in our systems and business processes.
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • MS Office and knowledge of accounting software Timberline a plus
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
  • Timberline Accounting, Microsoft Word and strong Excel skills preferred. 
  • Willing to train.

Class A CDL Driver

Established NJ Landscape and Site Construction Company is looking for experienced Class-A CDL drivers who are available to work in NJ and the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Driver needed for expanding Commercial Landscaping and Site Construction Company.       Must have Class-A CDL with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in moving construction equipment.

Irrigation Service Tech 2

Job Details

Established NJ Landscape and Site Construction Company is looking for experienced Irrigation Service Technicians who are available to work in NJ and the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, installs electric & hydraulic irrigation systems & other related equipment.
  • Assists in determining optimal irrigation schedules & ensuring water conservation while meeting demands.
  • Assists in the design and specification of irrigation systems and materials on new & existing projects.
  • Responds to emergency situations (broken pipes, sprinkler, drainage problems, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
