BERGEN TOWN CENTER
Paramus, NJ
Bergen Town Center, located in Paramus, New Jersey, and originally known as the Bergen Mall, was built in the mid-1950’s and was the first large shopping mall In New Jersey.
Vornado Realty Trust purchased the mall and began the task of expanding and renovating the mall to meet the growing needs of its customers. Bergen Mall went under a major redevelopment and has transformed into Bergen Town Center. Let It Grow played a critical role in the dramatic and substantial improvements that were made to the shopping center.
Whiting-Turner, the General Contractor, hired Let It Grow, Inc. in 2007 for the landscape and irrigation work on this major project.
After doing excavation, earthwork, and sub grade, Let It Grow, Inc. built stamped concrete walkways, installed concrete paver walkways, crosswalks, and attractive looking planters.
Topsoil and mulch were installed along with a large amount of small and large trees, a variety of plants, shrubs and ground cover. In addition, Let It Grow’s responsibilities included installation of sod and seed in all lawn areas. Furthermore, Let It Grow, Inc. installed an extensive state-of-the-art target specific irrigation system to handle the heavy water requirements throughout the site.
