Projects: Luxury Residential & Rooftop Gardens
77 Hudson, rooftop Garden
“The Glass House”
Jersey City, NJ
Let It Grow, Inc. was awarded the contract for the installation of a 30,000 sq ft outdoor Rooftop Park at 77 Hudson, the Famous “Glass House” Luxury Condominiums, with views of the Goldman Sachs Building on the “Gold Coast” of Jersey City.
Currently one of the four tallest buildings in New Jersey, the rooftop of this high rise is actually located on the 11th floor and features a large swimming pool, hot tub, lounge, BBQ & fire pit, dog run, jogging track, playground, patios and an expansive park.
As a sub-contractor of General Contractor Hunter Roberts, Let It Grow’s scope of work for the rooftop project includes decorative and concrete paver patios, stairs and walkways, unique stone settings, paths, walkways and planters; Let It Grow installed the rooftop park; including small and large trees, a large variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, grasses, and ground cover. We laid sod in the lawn areas and built the dog run. We also installed a major irrigation system for the entire rooftop site.
A rooftop installation comes with its challenges. Each bag of topsoil and every tree, every rock, the sod, tools & equipment had to be lifted by crane onto the rooftop from the ground.
The opportunity to build a project so environmentally and structurally sensitive, and to be a part of green design at this level was both exciting and rewarding.
