Projects: Athletic Complexes
WOOD-RIDGE SPORTS COMPLEX
WOOD-RIDGE, NJ
In 2002, the town of Wood-Ridge, NJ brought in Neglia Engineering as Architects to design a brand new recreational sports complex and facilities for the borough’s residents. Let It Grow was contracted by Neglia for the project.
Our scope of work included Site Clearing, Earthwork and Excavation of the site. Catch Basins and an Underdrain System were installed. We built a Modular Block Retaining Wall, asphalt and concrete sidewalks, walkways, and paths, and Bituminous Concrete Paving Belgium Block Curbing.
Let It Grow was responsible for building the field, dugouts, backstop, bases, and including installing clay in the infield and warning track, assembling bleachers, foul poles, bleachers, scoreboard, all new field equipment and furnishings. We erected a concession stand including constructing the roof and painting the stand, and handled all the electrical and plumbing work, for the complex, including security lighting and restrooms.
A coated chain link fence and an overlay Weathering Steel Guide Rail was installed at the complex, along with a high trash enclosure.
We put in a brand new irrigation system, and then installed topsoil, sod on the field, and then seeded and throughout the park. The complex opened to the public in 2003.
