Let It Grow Busy at New Meadowlands Stadium in Q4

Currently under construction, the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ will the home field for the New York Giants and the New York Jets and the first facility built specifically to accommodate two National Football League teams. Additionally, the multi-purpose stadium will be used for concerts and other entertainment and sports activities.

The design-build contract involves the construction of a technologically advanced open-air sports and entertainment venue. The structure will have a spectator seating capacity of 82,000, including 217 luxury suite boxes.

As a sub-contractor of General Contractor Skanska USA, Let It Grow has been working on various phases of this project since 2008. We handled the site construction at The NY Giants new Training Facility located near the new stadium; landscaping and irrigating the entire site, including the planters and medians, parking lots, islands, etc. We created a huge paver area outside the Training Facility building and built the patio stairs leading from the outdoor field to this deck. This space also includes a barbecue grill area, tables and chairs which the team now uses for team interviews, to view outdoor practice, and to eat meals outside.

The current phase of the project called for a massive landscape installation around the new stadium, including the VIP lots, the train station area, the parking lots, medians, etc. which Let It Grow is responsible for. Having designed and put in an extensive irrigation system to support the landscape, we are currently installing a variety of seasonal and evergreen trees and thousand of shrubs, different types of grasses and a variety of ground cover.

The new stadium will be open in August 2010 in time for football season.

2nd Quarter Message from the CFO

Let It Grow’s first half of 2009 was extremely productive with a wealth of large scale projects. We were able to take advantage of a strong winter season, followed up with a steady pace of projects that will continue through the remainder of 2009 and into 2010. The strong level of performance was a direct result of our employee’s hard work, coupled with improved planning, communications, and safety compliance.

In my first 90 days, I have been impressed with all aspects of our operations. We are focused on the Mission, Vision, and Values of Let It Grow.  This is incredibly important.  I continue to enjoy meeting each of you a great deal and see the commitment and passion you have for this business.  Do not let that fade; really understanding our customers and building out the best solutions for them will allow us to grow in our industry and set the pace for the future.

Our commitment to planning, executing and delivering projects that exceeds expectations -- on time and on budget, also signals that we can expand our business to reach higher levels of growth.  I am looking forward to what we can accomplish together in the years ahead.
